My Christmas Holiday Experience

Image
The love and joy of Christmas this year was unmatched. We started with decorating the house and getting the house and getting the house ready for the season. There was a lot of effort in each single decoration as it reminded us of the previous years' holiday. Setting up for the season transformed the warmth of the home into a festive cheer.                                    My favorite thing about the holidays was the family time. I remember sharing meals such as lechon and pancit while talking about life and enjoying each other's company. Christmas Eve was also fun as we went to Simbang Gabi and had our Noche Buena. Being surrounded by family during these moments made the holiday even more meaningful.              Another special part of the season was giving back and gift giving, seeing my family smile on ...

The Second Chapter

Image
In the second quarter, I was introduced to HTML coding, which is the language used for development of websites. To create a webpage, I learn how to use the HTML contructs  <html>, <head>, <body> among others. I also underrstood how to place images, links and text which increased my understanding of the creation and presentation of websites.           One problem I encountered was trying to figure out how some tags correlate to each other when the webpage was not how I imagined it to be. I have to say it was annoying at times, but I accepted that it was just an easier way of putting all of it on the wall and connecting the dots that will go there.           In order to do this, I went through my notes, watched video tutorials, and ask assistance from my teacher and classmates.  As I practiced, I grew more assured in error corrections and in the step by step construction of page...

THEMATIC IN ICT Q2

R.A. 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997)           Regarding abuse R. A. 8533 goes the extra mile to defend a human being rather than of lost honor and excites the necessity of reiteration and confirmation of consent, precisely this is the core of the understanding provided in this legal document. The acknowledgment of the issue of rape is to clarify that when a man forces a woman to enjoy deeply relishing activities against her will. Without her consent, whether through beatings, it is effectively rape. The law also encompasses spousal rape, punishing a husband who forces his wife without her permission. It also aids the incapacitated users when they are not able to consent due to either desiring trauma, being drunk, or experiencing an unfortified mental state.           And yes, such laws need to exist, as they prevent the oppressor and protect the oppressed. Justice can finally be sought, and rights are validated. It empowers liberty for...

Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong: Pahalagahan, Pangalagaan at Parangalana.

To appreciate the history, culture and traditions of a single community, Indigenous Peoples Month should not be regarded as just an official event. It is a chance to confront issues such as loss of native territories, racial prejudice and job deficit opportunities staring the indigenous peoples in the faced. Awareness on these issues is created during the event through cultural presentations, workshops, and discussions while celebrating the wisdom and traditions of Indigenous Peoples, particularly their relationship with the environment and their sustainability practices.           One of the significant measures to defend indigenous rights was the IPRA Law of 1997 (Republic Act 8371). It enabled them to have sovereignty over their land, their culture, and their governance. Land conflicts, inequality, and lack of voice are some of the emerging issues. The celebrating event by Indigenous People every month serves as a reminder f...

Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines.

Image
Child violence is one of the biggest problems in the Philippines today. Many children suffer from physical abuse, neglect, cyberbullying, and even exploitation. These acts harm not only their rights but also their future. The increasing number of reported cases shows how urgent it is for us to act, not just talk about it.                 To “break the prevalence,” we must address the root causes of violence. Poverty, lack of education, and weak enforcement of child protection laws create environments where abuse happens. We need stricter laws, stronger community programs, and better support for families to help them provide safe and loving homes for their children.  It’s also about teamwork and compassion. Schools should be safe spaces where children can learn and grow without fear. Communities must take responsibility for protecting children. As individuals, we should all speak up a...
