Learning, Challenges, and Growth

This quarter, I learned the use of HTML frames, unordered and ordered lists, and nested lists. We also learned how to style a web page using CSS. The community-based research entitled "Doon PO Sa Amin, Maraming Aanihin at Masaganang Lupain! Sta. Catalina's Agriculture: The Source of Community's Pride and Livelihood" really made me appreciate the life struggles of farmers and entrepreneurs in Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur; through interviews and analysis, we noted the strengths and challenges of the agriculture sector, as well as suggested solutions to these issues.

However, despite these successes, I faced difficulties such as that of understanding the complex HTML structures as well as CSS styling techniques. Initially, applying CSS to make the webpage visually appealing was not easy. I had to be very patient and make extra effort when doing community-based research, especially when collecting credible information from interviews. To overcome such challenges, I looked for online tutorials, class discussions, and teamwork with my group members. Researching other web designs also helped me know how to structure and improve our project.

Moving on, I will develop my web development skills, focusing on CSS and layout design. I will also work on developing my research and communication skills in order to critically analyze real-world problems. From this experience, I learned the importance of applying technology and social awareness to develop meaningful projects. I look forward to applying these skills in future learning opportunities.
